5 Tips for Touring the Parade of Homes

July 11, 2023

Looking to tour the Parade of Homes? These tips will help you tour like a pro in no time!

1. Pick up a ticket and guidebook

Our Parade of Homes Event Books have details on the new and remodeled homes that are open to tour. Use the guidebook or QR code in the book and on your ticket to find the city, builder or remodeler, or type of home you’re looking to explore. Plus, find plenty of trending home content for some light reading.

2. Plan your tour

The Parade of Homes can be accessed from any device. Scroll through the homes, mark your favorites to plan your route, and access the Event Book online. Each home has detailed directions that connect directly to Google maps.

3. Wear slip-off shoes

In order to keep the floors clean and looking pristine, we ask that all tour-goers remove their shoes and wear disposable booties or socks. Make sure to wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off! No shoes or bare feet will be allowed in the homes.

4. Ask questions

Every home will be staffed by the builder or by representatives of the builder or remodeler. They’ll be able to tell you all about the home details—so say hi and ask away!

5. Get social

Follow @wausauareabuildersassociation on Facebook and Instagram for endless design inspiration and behind-the-scenes looks at the homes. Share your top highlights, tag us, and use the hashtag #WABAParadeofHomes.
